Post Treats Kids to Easter Egg Party

With the help of Auxiliary Unit 229, Utica Post 229 held a children's Easter Egg Hunt Party at the post on Saturday, March 27.

A total of 42 children and 93 adults participated, reports coordinator Jim Haggerty.

They were treated to colored eggs, hot dogs, chips, candy, ice cream, cup cakes and balloons.

"Thank you… to all the help we had," Haggerty said. "The auxiliary made cupcakes and helped with serving the food. The Shriner Clowns were there making all sort of things for the children, and then came the Easter Bunny. Everyone was happy to see him. A special THANK YOU to Byrne Dairy and Burger King for their donations."
